# Xao's Governing Documents

The Xao protocol is more than software — it is a decentralized movement built on shared values, trustless infrastructure, and community-led governance.

To ensure clarity, consistency, and long-term integrity, Xao is governed by three foundational documents:

* **The Constitution** outlines the rights, responsibilities, and freedoms of all participants. It affirms our commitment to anonymity, transparency, and self-sovereignty.
* **The Genesis Document** defines the operational structure of the DAO — including staking mechanics, reputation systems, proposal thresholds, and domain-specific governance.
* **The Whitepaper** serves as a technical and philosophical blueprint for the Xao dApp, describing how smart contracts, tokenized governance, on-chain payments, and NFT ticketing converge to build a permissionless, community-owned platform.

Together, these documents establish the framework through which Xao functions as both a decentralized application and a decentralized autonomous organization.

We encourage all participants — whether artists, fans, developers, or contributors — to read and understand these documents. They are not just references.\
They are our shared foundation.
